Srinath hails Ishant, Zaheer

Former India speedster Javagal Srinath feels Ishant Sharma and Zaheer Khan form a deadly combination for the team. By Achint Gupta
Srinath, now an ICC Match Referee said the two new ball bowlers have won India quite a few matches already: "Yes Ishant and Zaheer is the best pair at the moment."
Srinath also complimented the pair's attitude to bowl long and consistent spells."Basically, they have a great attitude to bowl and they want to play Test cricket - the mother of all cricket", Srinath told SportsCenter India.
"All these things along with their big heart has made them achieve reverse swing at will."
Ishant Sharma bagged the Man-of-the-Series award in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, where India trounced Australia 2-0.
The lanky Delhi bowler snapped up 15 wickets in the series on batting friendly pitches.
Zaheer has been on a roll too this year. Indian skipper MS Dhoni in fact thanked the left-arm seamer for guiding the bowling attack and taking care of the field placements.
Indian bowling coach Venkatesh Prasad also seems to have worked magic with all his years of experience as a new ball bowling partner with Srinath.
"What we see today the performance of the Indian bowlers is largely because of Venkatesh Prasad's inputs."
"The Indian team has always lacked this particular position and now Prasad is at the helm of affairs taking care of the Indian fast bowlers."
Srinath, like all other former India cricketers, has been in awe of Dhoni's leadership skills.
"It has been tremendous to see Dhoni's clarity of thoughts - the way he goes about doing things - and as a captain, people believe that he is taking a lot of gamble but I do not think he is doing it."
"He knows the risk at the other end. He also knows the gains. So he probably weighs the risk and the gain in the right frame of mind and makes decisions which not many people are able to understand."
